In Houston, the best Asian restaurants tend to be well off the tourist or conventioneers trail – they’re catering to the needs of their own population rather than to travelers, which can make good restaurants hard to find and intimidating to approach for the uninitiated in restaurant adventuring.

Evans frequently leads food tours, and along with Chris Shepherd, another fixture on the culinary tour scene took me around to the explore their favorite Asian haunts recommended here.
