Don't give breakfast short shrift when you're traveling in Chicago -- the city's best breakfasts are worth planning your entire day around. From celebrity chef specialties, to can't-miss pancakes, you may want to eat breakfast for lunch and dinner during your Chicago stay.

Let's start with Xoco a small, casual eatery right around the corner from celebrity chef Rick Bayless' much celebrated Mexican restaurant, Frontera Grill. Order breakfast at Xoco's counter and it will be delivered to your seat -- if you've enjoyed watching Bayless on Top Chef Masters, this is an affordable way to taste his cuisine: your breakfast should run you under $20.

The Menu

Check out Xoco's breakfast menu, which is served until 10 a.m. Highlights: huevos rancheros, pictured here, are just about perfect. I also really like that coffee is served in a personal press pot.
