One of Arizona's premier culinary events includes all the food festival basics you'd expect -- cooking demos, wine tastings, beer tastings, gala dinners and so on -- much of which happens outdoors, especially at the affair's cornerstone event: The Great Arizona Picnic.
A monster of an event which includes a huge variety of cooking classes and demos, lunches, brunches, chocolate tastings, and of course, very special dinners.
In addition to food festival standbys of a grand tasting and food wine seminars, this event includes the annual Colorado Lamb Cook-off, and Après Ski Tasting and a mountaintop picnic prepared by Vail's best chefs.

Sample the wares of many California wineries and craft breweries at this festival, which takes place in Dana Point. There's another part of this festival which takes place in July in Santa Barbara.
