The Little Nell's room service menu offers a "Canine Delights" section, which includes: tenderloin of beef with scrambled eggs and brown rice; grilled chicken breast with carrots and brown rice, grilled salmon with scrambled eggs and brown rice. All are $12.
The Hyatt Regency Newport, Rhode Island
Bring your dog to the Hyatt Regency Newport's "Mutt’s Mocktail Hour” on the hotel’s Great Lawn, which happens every Wednesday. Owners get to drink a "Salty Dog" cocktail, which is a variation of the Greyhound (although they sub vodka for gin). Dogs aren't left out of the party: they get a Doggie Brew beer -- actually a nutritional beverage for dogs.Four Seasons, Washington D.C.
The Four Seasons, Washington D.C. offers feline guests a choice from its "What the Cat Dragged In" menu, which includes the "Eye of the Tiger", which is scrambled eggs and poached salmon; and the "Catkins Diet", which is albacore tuna and chopped egg. Dogs select from the "Doggie Delights" menu which includes "Best Friend's Breakfast", scrambled eggs and steamed rice; and the "Might Mutt Diet", which is lean ground beef with steamed rice. Prices range from $6 to $8.
Hotel Bel Air, Beverly Hills
At the Hotel Bel Air, the chef prepares special peanut butter doggie biscuits for visiting pooches. (This is in addition to a dog bed and bowl provided in the room, as well as personalized door tags to alert cleaning staff that a dog is in the room.) You pay an extra $200 for this "precious paws" program, which also covers for a deep cleaning for your room -- after you depart.
Le Meurice, Paris
At Le Meurice, your dog has many options. Choose from chopped beef, chicken or duck, and then select its accompaniment: rice, green beans or pasta? This will be served with a selection of biscuits (beef or chicken flavor), and of course, mineral water. (The meal is 35 euro.) Such a repast can only be followed by a free walk with one of the hotel's grooms in the Tuileries Garden.
Excelsior Palace, Portofino Coast, Italy
Why is it that everything sounds better in Italian? From Excelsior Palace's piaceri per cani menu (or "doggie delights") select uovo strapazzato, riso e formaggio grattugiato, or scrambled egg, steamed rice and grated cheese, for 8 euro. For delizie per gatti ("feline fancies") try tonno e uovo tritato in panna acida, or tuna and choped egg in sour cream, for 10 euro.Hotel ZaZa in Dallas and Houston
The Hotel ZaZa's "Pampered Pets" Menu asks you to consider: what sort of dog do you really have? "The Healthy Dog" will go for the roasted chicken and rice on the menu, while "The Sporty Dog" will select a hot dog with baked french fries. "The Hearty Dog" wouldn't miss the tenderloin with carrots and potatoes, while cats get only one choice -- but it's a good one, the "Fancy Feline" goes for grilled organic salmon. Would your dog prefer beef, chicken or veg? At Egerton House, the menu includes all three options.
