Now here's something you don't see every day. In honor of the 2011 French Open, venerable Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette has partnered up with the French Tennis Federation and installed a tennis court on its roof.
Throughout the tournament, you can take classes, play with friends, or (of course) just shop for tennis togs. Then dine at the department store's outdoor La Terrasse restaurant, decked out in tournament colors. You can watch the tennis action from plasma screen TVs, while enjoying a light menu, which would certainly end with a selection of macaron by Pierre Hermé.
