When you're serious about food and you're serious about sports, you really owe it to yourself to up your tailgating cooking game AND I MEAN NOW! (That's me doing a culinary travel version of Vince Lombardi.)

On January 22nd, Fearing's Restaurant at the Dallas Ritz Carlton will offer a Tailgating Cuisine class, led by Chef Dean Fearing. The menu includes  Cos' Chili Frito Pie, Jalapeo-Braised Carnitas Sliders, and Tacos with Barbecued Thousand Island Cole Slaw, Pickled Red Onions and Dutch Oven Beans. For dessert: Peanut Butter Cheesecake Bites with Oreo Crust.

The class is described as "light-hearted" so no one will holler at you like I just did.

The class runs from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., and includes appetizers and sparkling wine cocktail, a three-course lunch (with beer pairings per course), and you go home with gift, including an autographed chef's apron. Cost: $225 per person.  There are only ten spots available,  reserve your spot by contacting Vanessa Guevara at Fearing's Restaurant (214-922-4817).
